Even during a busy holiday weekend, this place had it all together. We were able to book a room the day of, it was a last minute decision. The staff was super friendly and everything about our room met or exceeded our expectations. For the price of the room I was not expecting it to be as high quality as it was. Even the complimentary breakfast was pretty good. I would definitely stay here again!
Very comfortable beds pillows. Would have given 5 stars if I my room key would have worked and let me in the side entrance where I parked. Had to walk around back to the main entrance in the rain to get in. We assumed the key would not open our room either so we had the key remade before we went to it. Good hot breakfast (Eggs, beacon, sausage gravy, etc).
Would have given our large, clean, suite a 5 star except for the toilet kept running all night long....every 45 minutes or so.
Otherwise wonderful staff & great hotel. Highly recommend it
I've always used Holiday Inn in my travels, but this particular one (Holiday Inn Express of New Albany) was exceptionally great. It's easy to find, being literally just off the Exit#0 ramp on I64 E, just before the bridge to Louisville. Everything you need is nearby. The staff were so friendly and nice. I had particularly helpful experience with the night desk girl. Having been running late and not being able to check in until after midnight, well after the designated check in time, my room was shuffled back into the system. Well after some checking and shuffling of her own, this fantastic young lady found a place to lay my head n a few extra points for my account. Thanks again Holiday Inn.
Overall the stay was fine, but compared to the many many times I've stayed at a Holiday Inn over the past several years it was sub par. As a gold elite member I am able to check in early, which was not granted do to no rooms being ready. I tried to check in at 2pm and ZERO rooms are ready for me? On the first night I went in to shower, asked my friend if he had used a wash cloth earlier, as there was one draped over the curtain rod, he had not, so that was from a past guess. Upon booking I selected no room service as part of my gold elite options. I'm tidy, thought I would save them the hassle, came back from the days activities and my friends bed was made and we were missing some hand towels. Not a huge deal, but why have a member program if it's not followed. Upon checking my CC statement, I've noticed that I was charged $50 than my receipt, so that will be looked at further. All that being said, this is the first non perfect experience that I've had, and will continue to book with IHG hotels. Please don't let this deter you from booking.
